Computer Recycling
What businesses need to know
The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) legislation introduces new responsibilities for businesses and other non-household users of electrical and electronic equipment (EEE). This includes businesses, schools, hospitals, and government agencies, when they dispose of their electrical waste. These organisations will need to ensure that all separately collected WEEE is treated and recycled. There are no current requirements to keep records of these transactions (other than the normal Duty of Care requirements). However, Defra is currently consulting on a change to the Duty of Care regime which would require non-household end-users to ensure that their WEEE is sent only to authorised treatment facilities.
EasyFix PC now offer disposal and recycling of computer related items.
